Senior Accountant

Main Duties

  • Build good rapport with clients, with a clear understanding of client expectations and achieving high levels of client service
  • The Senior Accountant will supervise and prepare annual accounts for UK & IRISH companies, partnerships and sole traders
  • Preparation of corporation tax returns and self-assessment returns
  • Maintaining existing client accounts as well as establishing new business
  • Creates monthly financial reports, including cash-flow, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Conducts monthly review of all management accounts
  • Prepares end-of-year reports and statements and business tax compliance
  • Prepare and review management and year end accounts for FCA regulated businesses
  • Prepares and presents budget proposals for new and existing clients which cohere with client specifications and existing budget information
  • Liaises with existing clients to answer queries and give accounting advice
  • Liaises with the external auditors during the yearend audit process
  • Work closely with senior manager and report him on regular basis

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA) (E)
  • 3 years of practice experience (E)
  • Supervisory experience (D)
  • Strong statutory accounts experience and sound accounting, corporate and personal tax and VAT technical knowledge (E)
  • Sage Accounts Production Advanced (SAAP)/Sage Corporation tax (E)
  • IRIS Accounts Production Advanced/Iris corporation tax (E)
  • Sage line 50, Xero etc. (E)
  • Used FCA GABRIEL Reporting (D)

We offer

  • 35K to 40K Basic Annual Salary – Depending on experience
