The Position reports to the Senior Tax Manager and the candidate will provide Advisory and Compliance services to a wide range of Private Clients and Families.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review the work performed by the other team member and act as a key point of contact within the firm for high net worth individuals. Follow up on any new business opportunities arising on existing and new clients
  • Deliver advisory on HMRC inquiries
  • Ensure the department is profitable and grows year on year
  • Implement firm quality control procedures and ensure they are adhered to
  • Identify risk and technical matters, as well as selling opportunities, whilst exercising judgement within agreed parameters
  • Must provide overall support to the Network on client matters
  • Actively participate in the management of the Network through Partner/Manager meetings and by attendance at social functions
  • Training must be provided to more junior staff both on the job and through monitoring exam and on the job performance, whilst consistently providing feedback
  • Must be able to recognise business development opportunities and inform and work with the other departments to develop these when they arise
  • Participate in bids/proposals for new work
  • Advising on tax planning issues and transactional tax matter
  • Assisting partners with planning and advisory work including attending meetings
  • Managing and developing relationships within and outside the firm
  • Liaise with third parties, including HM Revenue and Customs, brokers, banks, and solicitor
  • Counsel, appraise, develop and motivate staff as appropriate


  • A minimum of 8 years of experience working in UK/international tax department (E)
  • ACA/CTA qualified (E)
  • Fluent in Italian (D)
  • Experience of preparing, reviewing and filing UK client returns and reviewing other people's work
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients, to prioritise workload and be self-sufficient
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and pro-activity with regard to providing advice to clients
  • A willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge
  • Positive and professional attitude towards work
